WHAT IS AN ARM LIFT?

Fluctuations in weight, older age, and heredity can cause the upper regions of your arms to have a sagging appearance. This, unfortunately, cannot be corrected through exercise.

An arm lift is a surgical procedure that reshapes the under portion of your upper arm, just after your shoulder region to the elbow.

It does this by:

Reducing excess sagging skin that hangs downward

Tightening and smoothening the underlying supportive tissue that defines the shape

DURING AND AFTER YOUR SURGERY

Anaesthesia Type: Mostly under general (patients are asleep) unless very limited surgery (under local)

Duration of Surgery: 1.5-2 hrs

In/Outpatient: Patients go home the same day

Length of Recovery and Return to Work: Most patients take about a week off from work but need to wear a garment for activity for at least 4-6 weeks. Full recovery is expected by 6 weeks

Final Results: Expected by 3 months

Post-Operative Medication: Patients are given both pain killers and antibiotics for management

Pricing: Standard for all patients unless very limited surgery is done which can then also be performed under local anaesthesia
